The furtive shuffling of a brown paper bag and the pop of a beer usually means we're in the liquor store, but we didn't expect to hear these noises when we were getting our hair cut. Fashion-forward friends had recommended Heartbreaker Salon on Fraser and Kingsway, but they hadn't told us the best bit – that you get a complimentary can of hipster-nectar with your haircut. Free PBRs, straight from the ice bucket, made us feel extra cool as we got our hair done, and our shampoo and conditioner purchases were bagged up in stamped brown paper holders. Bang on!
